Walk Description:
Join us for a stunning coastal walk from Spyway car park in Langton Matravers, following fields towards the cliffs of the Jurassic Coast at the iconic Dancing Ledge. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking sea views, rolling downland, and the chance to spot seabirds soaring above the cliffs and wildflowers in the coastal grasslands.
Dancing Ledge is one of Purbeck's most spectacular landmarks, with its flat rock ledges, fascinating geology and famous sea-water pool carved into the stone. We will take time to soak up the scenery and before making our return journey up the hill back to Spyway.
This is a moderate walk due to some uneven ground, stiles and gradients. But plenty of time is given to complete the walk at your own pace. Good walking footwear is essential and the exposed coastal sections can be windy, so please dress appropriately for the conditions.Bring water.
No facilities at the start. Parking is free for NT members.
