Walk Description:

Today's route explores the green corridor of the Ladybrook Valley, stretching between Bramhall Park and Poynton Park

Bramall Hall is a magnificent Tudor manor house standing on high ground at the junction of Lady Brook and Carr Wood Brook. We'll pass the parkland's ponds to join Lady Brook through Happy Valley to Poynton Park where we follow the edge of the lake and return to Bramall Park along the southern edge of Ladybrook Valley

There are long sections with little to no shade so please remember suncream and plenty of water!

Important Information

Distance: 7 miles

Terrain: mainly flat with the odd very short hill. Tarmac paths, lanes, tracks, riverside paths, fields. There is 1 section that will be muddy!

Toilets: At start

Car parking: £2.60 or £4 if you plan to stop for food. Walk will take approx 2.5hrs. See location details for how to pay

Cafe: At Bramall Hall (not booking, just turning up)

If you need to borrow poles, please let Jane know when booking. 

Please dress appropriately for the weather, and don’t forget water, waterproofs (if necessary), suncream & bugspray! 

We will set off promptly. Please try to arrive 10mins early so you are ready to go.  

Please do not be offended if we do not wait whilst you get yourself sorted. We do a warm up close by so please do catch up.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations more than 24hrs before a walk can be made on the Exercise Anywhere booking system. Cancellations made less than 24hrs before a walk will not be refunded and cannot be made on the system - please contact Jane either by phone or text on 07847 786 939 to cancel.

Go past the first small car park. Turn right to larger car park Charge for car park £3 all day.
