Walk Description:
An invigorating walk taking in Wick River and harbour leading to dramatic coastal landscape passing the Castle of Old Wick and then returning to our starting point via the town.
This route involves mainly well paved surfaces with some stony areas. Please wear comfortable walking shoes or boots. There is one steep uphill section as we move from the harbour to the cliff path.
Please be mindful of weather forecast on the day and bring appropriate clothing. We would also suggest bringing your own water and perhaps a snack. If you bring items please carry them in a backpack that doesn't inhibit your arm movements.
WALX strapless poles will be provided.
Any questions please contact Martin or Fiona on 07562 319068 or info@walxfarnorth.co.uk
Location Notes:
Riverside Car Park has a voluntary payment system. There are public toilets at the car park, if these are closed there are facilities available at the Norseman Hotel. The Norseman is also a great place to call in for a coffee after a walk! Wick Bus Station is also situated at the car park so easy to get to using the local bus service.
