Walk Description:

Join Carolyne and Angela for a 3 hour recce WALX starting from Bankes Arms - South Beach NT car park in Studland.

A varied route through the village then 2 hills through woodlands with spectacular views. One more hill and we are at the top. We then go onto the heath and walk to the Agglestone. Far reaching views.  Good wide gravel tracks with some uneven ground.

We will find Agglestone Cottage where Enid Blyton spent some time and look for a location for a ginger beer stop although we won't hace ginger beer today. We will stop at the Agglestone Rock for a pit stop so bring a drink and snack. We will probably also stop at Knoll House Hotel for coffee(very nice coffee).

We will walk at a steady pace with plenty of time to catch our breath and admire the views.

This is a variation of the Agglestone Rock walks we have done previousy. Angela and I have already done a recce but it just needs a few tweeks.

National Trust car park. Toilets nearby (allow 10 minutes)

Location Notes:

National Trust carpark next to The Bankes Arms. Toilets at the bottom of the hill. Meet in the small field next to the carpark. Parking charges for non NT members.
