Belper Hills & Fields Explorer

Join us for an enjoyable walk exploring the countryside surrounding Belper, with open views, rolling farmland and peaceful green spaces along the way.

This varied route offers a wonderful mix of open countryside and quieter paths, providing a chance to escape the bustle, enjoy the fresh air and discover some of the hidden corners on the edge of town.

Parking: Please arrive a little earlier than usual, as the Marketplace car park is very popular and can fill quickly.

You are asked to contact your WALX Guide by phone, leaving a voicemail or send an SMS text to the number listed below, if you are likely to be delayed.

Whilst we do understand that sometimes it is not possible to make a class, please be aware that we do operate a no refund policy if you give us less than 2 hours’ notice.

Please ensure your PARQ is up to date and notify us in writing if you have any changes to your medical records or physical or mental wellbeing. This should include any surgery, falls, knocks or accidents. 

Location Notes:

As this is a free car park, it does get quite full these days. It is a good idea to arrive early for this walk in case there are issues with parking.
