Walk Description:
On the way we will see magical views of the harbour, Studland beach and Old Harry Rocks from a totally different perspective. Taking a circular route, we will head back to the village and on to South Beach for a drink/snack stop. Joes cafe is close by or bring a snack.
After seeing the Old Harry from afar we will head out towards the headland to get a closer view and then keep walking up hill on to the ridge to get a peak down into the seaside town of Swanage. This is also where we will get a better view of the sheep and cows that live on the land. The way down provides more great views of Studland Bay and we end back where we started at Knoll Beach after a stop at the bunker used by Eisenhower, the King and Churchill to plan for D Day very apt in this anniversary year.
The walk requires a moderate level of fitness and stamina, robust shoes or boots, weather relevant clothing and sunscreen if its not actually raining. The walk will take place rain or shine unless there are extreme weather warnings.
