Walk Description:

This out-and-back social walk follows a scenic stretch of the Stour Valley Way, starting near the Cherry Tree Nursery car park in Parley and heading east towards the historic Throop Mill. Tracing the peaceful twists of the River Stour, the route takes you directly through the heart of the Stour Valley Nature Reserve.

The gravel paths and easy pace make this walk suitable for most walkers.

The terrain is mostly flat and low-lying, though it can become muddy after heavy rain.

There is lots of easy parking in the nature reserve car par and there are toilets at the nearby Lild in Parley.

Location Notes:

Take the turning off Northbourne Roundabout towards Cherry Tree nursery. The car park is on the right, just before the nursery.
