At this time of year, we get calls from very confused ‘other halves’ asking us what they can buy their special Nordic Walker!
Although we have put together some simple gift packages (click here to view) for beginners and enthusiasts, we thought we would ASK some of our groups what Nordic Walking style gifts would put the biggest smiles on their faces on Christmas day! Prepare to be surprised………………….
The ladies pictures above( from L to R – Sarah Tomkins, Penny Stockham, Isabelle Seddon and Sue Livock ) walk regularly in Hampstead, London and they told us these were the top of their wish lists this year.
All four also agreed that the trip to the Nordic Walking in Seville next year would be an added bonus with one saying ” We can definitely see ourselves sitting on the balcony of a Parador, fantastic tapas and great wine! And maybe a bit of Nordic walking of course!
Kathleen Wiltshire (pictured left) who walks with Instructor Adele Howlett in Buckinghamshire told us she is hankering after the WINTER ACCESSORY PACK which contains gloves, a handy light and Neoprene waist pack. Whilst her fellow walkers Marion Harvey and Barbara Illingworth would like a pair of LEKI SUPREME POLES and GLOVES plus PAWS respectively!
Karen Lem a NWUK Instructor who runs Vivo- shapehealthlife in Herts really wants a HEADTORCH and new PAWS too (don’t we all) and these two ladies Kath and Jackie desperately want some poles because they were recently ‘converted’ into Nordic Walking by Karen at a recent school reunion!
Brenda Kirkham who walks with Core Concept in Derbyshire is also desperate for her own pair of POLES this year whilst her Instructor Sam Armstrong has added the most expensive NWUK OUTER SHELL WATERPROOF JACKET to her Christmas wish list. She points out that her last NWUK jacket has lasted for over 4 years and hopes that might help to justify the £150 new one!
A quick run round the NWUK team has revealed the following are all things they hope to find under the tree this year………………………….
Let’s hope that Santa reads this and they are all happy Nordic walkers in 2015!
