Welcome to my October newsletter.

I am especially pleased to welcome all those who have recently joined us.

I had an amazing time at the Purbeck Walking Festival where I met some fantastic WALX instructors. I came back with some colourful sports clothes; loads of resistance bands and a head full of ideas. Next’s years festival will be in the Lake District (6-8th May) which will be fantastic, although I will need to find us some hills to practice on.

Nearer home there are now regular Nordic WALX happening at Salcey Forest on Wednesdays and there is a moderate paced hills and drills Nordic Walking fitness session starting in Olney on Monday afternoons.

I am now offering regular Wellness WALX for those new to fitness activity or recovering from injury. These sessions are usually delivered in small groups and take place at Emberton and Salcey.

Also why not try a Total Body WALX where using poles gives you an all over stretch, condition and tone – it’s an amazing complement to other forms of exercise. See below for more information.

Open Explorer WALX are happening too ! We will go further afield to enjoy walking in  some lovely places that you may not have discovered before. These guided walks are for everyone with poles or without poles – it’s up to you!

Keep on walking!
Best regards

PS… I have poles you can borrow. I think it’s a great way to discover which style of poles work best for you before investing in poles of your own.
PPS…Past graduates are invited to free refresher POP session.

TOTAL  Body Walking  at Salcey Forest. At the moment I am expanding my understanding of Total Body Walking with WALX Senior tutor Denise, where we include elements of muscle strength and endurance as well as cardio phases . These sessions are great fun, effective and available at Olney and Salcey Forest.

Here I am putting the staff at Salcey through their paces at a Staff Wellbeing Session.
