Nordic walkers on a bridge

Welcome to my September newsletter.

I am now part of the WALX brand so I have been busy doing some further professional development over the summer which means I can now offer all the many aspects of walking with poles which is part of the great WALX concept of outdoor fitness clubs.

In particular,  I am now offering Wellness WALX for those new to fitness activity or recovering from injury. These sessions are usually delivered in small groups.

Also Total Body WALX where using poles gives you an all over stretch, condition and tone – it’s an amazing complement to other forms of exercise.

Open Explorer WALX are also new! We will go further afield to enjoy walking in  some lovely places that you may not have discovered before. These guided walks are for everyone with poles or without poles – it’s up to you!

In September I’m off with my poles to THE PURBECK WALKING FESTIVAL in Dorset  https://www.facebook.com/walxfest  a great opportunity to learn and network with more established professionals where I can discover new ideas to share with you. We must take a group there next year.

Keep on walking!
Best regards
Faith

PS… I have poles you can borrow. I think it’s a great way to discover which style of poles work best for you before investing in poles of your own.
PPS…Past graduates are invited to free refresher POP session.

Walkers in a field

Not convinced about how walking with Nordic Walking poles will help your fitness and posture? You can join me for a Wellness WALX. No experience required! 1 to 1 sessions are available.

You can self-refer to these sessions with your medical practitioner’s agreement. No induction session required, you’ll just be asked to complete a parQ and have a chat with your instructor.

Open Explorer WALXS are coming soon!

I am planning longer monthly Sunday walks, open to everyone, which feature less well known places. So why not bring a packed lunch and try the Bozeat Horseshoe, Roade Cutting or Honey Hill?
If you have a favourite walk let me know.

WALX Salcey and Beyond is passionate about promoting the physical, mental and social benefits of being active outdoors and believe that walking really is the way forward (excuse the pun!) when it comes to enjoyable but effective exercise. I am a fully qualified member of the WALX  community of Nordic Walking instructors.  Faith
