Our next expert webinar covers a topic that many of our regular walkers can identify with – ARTHRITIS
Joint pain can be debilitating and exercise can seem daunting but at the right level it can help too.
Walking and gentle mobility exercise is often recommended and we see the benefits daily at WALX, so we have invited Kelly Harman to explain more about the condition and answer questions about how to be physically active at the right level.
The session will be full of information and tips both for those with Arthritis and Instructors/leaders.
Kelly Harman is the Strategic Programme Manager for Physical Activity at Versus Arthritis – the largest UK charity, researching, campaigning, and supporting people with arthritis.
She leads the physical activity team and Let’s Move programme. Let’s Move has been funded by Sport England for the past five years and has enabled Versus Arthritis to understand the barriers to a person with arthritis being active, develop and implement digital interventions, work in partnership with national and community partners, educate healthcare professionals and influence policy.
Outside of her working day she is also a qualified Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor supporting adults with long term health conditions. During the webinar she will point people to further information and resources in a bid to help those with Arthritis to ‘Move more’
Join WALX and Kelly on Thursday 13th March at 7 pm to find out more….
