Festival fun 2023

The Autumn festival season is over for another year but rest assured, WALX events for 2024 are already in the pipeline and the DORSET event is open for booking already. These events provide opportunities to explore new areas, learn new things and enjoy a range of social events with like minded people in stunning locations

In Dorset, we took people on smuggling routes, to Cider farms, up the to the highest point on the Coastal path ( Golden Cap) and on walks of all levels in woodlands, beaches, chalk hills and nature reserves. We foraged for Wild teas, visited gardens, learned about history, explored Thomas Hardy routes and enjoyed cake, cafes and even paella at a beach shack!

There were workshops and a 16 mile challenge hike plus a brilliant supper night with a band on the Saturday too. As you can see from the images below much fun was had by all and bookings are already flooding in for 2024 which will be held  from the 9th – 15th September – see below to get your pass at earlybird rates.

Here’s just one of the reviews

Just a quick thank you to everyone, we thoroughly enjoyed our little jaunts. Gill thanks for the foraging workshop, I have the book on order and am expecting to be making teas tomorrow afternoon.  We loved the stone heritage walk and the paella  walk although a personal ‘challenge’ was stunning.

Find out more about how to secure your day passes for only £5 which give access to 3 walks a day which are all at resonable prices and designed to provide the WOW factor

The schedule of walks and workshops is being built as we speak and the band is already booked again!

Meanwhile just a week later we were doing it all again in the LAKE DISTRICT where walks ranged from steamer boart trips, deer rutting experiences, connecting with nature and the heritage of slate mining to some serious mountain hikes including Helvellyn.

Watch this space for the dates of the next WALX Lakes and WALX Peak District events for 2024 and 2025
