Want to understand more about using poles for walking, hiking, nordic walking and rehabilitation? Our Instructors around the UK deliver the POWER of POLES a 90 minute NEW way to learn Fitness and Nordic walking. Using ergonomic poles to help the beginner to master the key movements which engage the core and upper body effectively. They then work with every individual to help them achieve their personal goals, select the right poles and be signposted into regular classes where they can build on their practice. Many beginners will go on to take the Power of poles part two module where they learn more advanced poling skills too.

This Kinesthetic teaching method devised by Martin Christie* and Gill Stewart* is centered around the current fitness and mobility of every beginner. The focus is on how and what they can feel when using the poles plus what they want to use them for longer term. Encouraging them to gain lightness on their feet, engagement of the core muscles and a natural but effective stride.

Using specific poles designed for a natural but effective whole body action and fast learning curve, the results are impressive and noticeable in weeks!

WHY LEARN HOW TO USE WALKING POLES?

You probably wouldn’t need to learn how to use trekking poles for support when walking but if you want to get RESULTS from every step you take then you will need the RIGHT poles and the RIGHT tuition. If you can not find a group why not Learn online with the course creators? This NEW interactive module is simple to follow with videos, audiofiles and plenty of tips and advice. You can work through and practice at your OWN PACE and at A TIME TO SUIT YOU.

5 chapters to help you prepare your body, adjust and hold the poles correctly, master the basic movements, use poles on hills, increase speed and keep improving. The course uses the latest WALX poles to help you get going straight away with a comfortable natural WHOLE BODY movement.
