Pole walking and exercise for stability and rehabilitation

A specific pole walking rehabilitation and falls prevention programme using strapless poles for balance and stability. WALX provides training for Physiotherapists, OT's and movement specialists to tailor pole walking for their patients. To help keep people on their feet we also provide signposting into the local Wellness WALX where our specialist coaches will provide regular, sociable WALX at the right level.

Initially we worked to develop a project for the Integrated Falls service in 2014 but this soon expanded into other Departments and to date we have trained circa 40 physios to use poles within the neuro, mental health and community outreach programmes.
