We’re thrilled to have you join our community of outdoor enthusiasts who are passionate about fitness, wellbeing, and exploring.
As a member of our WALX West Lanx, you’ll be part of a supportive and social group that shares your love for the great outdoors. Our classes are designed to get you moving, feeling alive, and enjoying the fresh air and scenic views of our stunning local landscapes.
Promoting health and wellbeing through movement and outdoor exercise is central to my approach. The focus is on Total Body fitness using the technique of Total Body walking, which incorporates specially designed poles to enhance physical activity and support mental health and wellbeing.
We started our Nordic walking journey in 2021, having been taught by the local Nordic Walking legend, Janneke Gorzeman.
We are excited to continue this journey as WALX Total Body Walking Instructors and take over the reins from Janneke in delivering a variety of walking, running and fitness experiences.
WALX Watford offers a programme of over 20 walks and exercise classes each week in the Watford area and surrounding countryside. With so many walks available, you can find one local to you or choose to explore the beauty on your doorstep.
Our WALX are so much more than just a walk in the park – with walks and classes for all abilities, ranging from Wellness WALX with a focus on gently improving fitness, balance, strength and posture to our Total Body WALX for those wanting to be pushed a little harder, there is something for everyone. Our extensive programme of Nordic WALX and exercise your arms, abs and legs using poles in social, friendly groups. For those with medical conditions, we have a range of range of very gentle Wellness WALX, delivered with the support of Watford Borough Council and Three Rivers District Council.

WALX Trent and Wolds is a welcoming walking group in Newark on Trent and surrounding areas, for adults who want to embrace the joy of movement without the intimidation of a gym. We walk across the Waveney Valley from Beccles to Diss and there is a walk suitable for you no matter what your level of fitness or mobility
WALX LONDON is a group of independent Instructors and Community projects who offer the unique WALX walking based sessions for fitness, wellness and fun!.
Join us to learn how to use total body walking poles (the new way to nordic walk) to improve mental or physical health or to simply enjoy stepping outdoors with like minded people. We have routes for all abilities and can provide 6 week lifestyle plans or tuition for beginners and one to one sessions too.
However you walk and whatever you want to gain from walking – we can help! With WALX London , you’ll be part of a supportive and social group with a passion for walking and wellbeing.
A lifetime of extreme sports left my body broken and battered (and on first names terms with several surgeons) but I refused to give up wanting to live a normal active life.
Instead of thinking about what I couldn’t do anymore I looked to what I could do. I’m not kidding when I say Nordic Walking gave me my life back.
