How time flies! In 2015 following an International Nordic walking event in Seville organised by our team, we decided to welcome our Instructors and their groups to walk with us at our HQ in Dorset
Since then there has been an event every year in some form another – even a socially distanced affair during Covid with masks and hand washing. We have had challenge races, over 20 walks a day and event fields with over 750 people enjoying workshops and walks.
In recent years we have reduced the numbers due to the impact on the local area which has seen an explosion of mass challenge events and festival of one kind or another. We also felt we wanted to interact more with the walkers and have enjoyed putting on walks for all smell plus social events in conjunction with local businesses. From Cream teas and Cider walks to wildlife walks and a range of workshops – we love welcoming walkers to meet the team and enjoy the WALX experience.
This year we saw our 10th event over 4 days in September (17th -20th ) and once again the weather was fine and a fabulous time was had by all. It was great too meet up with WALXers from across the UK and Taiwan and to experience the team spirit amongst our leaders, Instructors and masters who all pitched in to ensure everybody had a brilliant time. Here are just a few pictures…
