We meet at 12pm at Inver Car park on Shore stree IV20 1SE and take the bus which is at 12:16 to Portmahomack. From there we follow the coastal road back to Inver along a mixture of rocks, shingle and sand. We finish off at the Inver Inn where they serve lunch until 2:30pm
Checking the tide forecast, we will be walking this in low tide.
Bring cash for the bus and trail shoes will ideal footwear for this walk.
It can be windy on the shore so a windproof jacket and layers are advised.

The Chalke Valley offers the most magical place for you to join us for a Nordic Walk . The countryside ranges from flower meadows and rare chalke stream walks to steep sweeping hills to the oxdroves with ancient monuments found on the top . The views are far reaching and I have many different walks to share with you . Wednesday is a longer workout walk (6-10 miles) with a shorter option for you to loop back with Mary (3-5 miles).

Gentle WALX which incorporate balance work, flexibility and strength exercises and maybe a bit of tai chi or relaxation too. A Wellness session incorporating gentle fitness walking with above activities, taught by a retired nurse. It is sociable and can be followed by a cafe visit when covid restrictions allow.
You can join this OPEN wellness walk with or without poles . It is a friendly, supportive mixed ability group. We prefer to walk with poles as it is more effective than ordinary walking .When poles are used we are able to engage the upper body, core muscles, improve posture and burn more calories
You will need to book online as a completed PARQ ( Health form ) is required
These walks will be ideal for anyone recovering from Covid and those walkers who want a gentle return to pre lockdown fitness levels. These sessions will help you become fitter and stronger if you have Neurological problems, medical conditions, jointproblems or are returning to exercise after being inactive. They are supported by the NeuroTherapy centre in Saltney.
Please bring with you a mask, hand gel/ wipes, and a pair of disposable gloves in a small rucsac with your drink and any medication you may need .

A moderately paced walk establishing the technique with the aim of increasing fitness to an intermediate pace. Benefit from a full body workout and the cross training that walking with poles gives you. A few prompts from me to remind you of your technique and to help you maintain a regular pace. Using the gentle inclines to improve rhythm and cardio fitness.
Gear 1 - A nice, easy and natural pace that you can do for extended periods with recovery periods where appropriate. Short hills might be introduced.
Gear 2 - A faster pace gained through technique. There will be less recovery time.

Join our Guided Nordic Walk around the ancient Forest. Walks are led by our team of experienced Forestry England Volunteers. Our walks are suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels, who have completed a NWUK Learn to Walk Course and are comfortable walking for the full 90 minutes.
All our walks will be conducted in line with government COVID guidelines, and we ask that you also comply with these.
