Strollers Health Walk
The Strollers Health Walk is a friendly, relaxed and highly social walk designed for anyone who would like to become more active, improve their fitness or simply enjoy walking with a supportive group.
This is our gentler-paced option, making it a great starting point if you haven’t exercised for a while, are building your confidence, have health concerns or would like to gradually work towards longer or more vigorous walks.
We walk at a pace that suits the group and nobody is left behind. There is plenty of time to chat, enjoy the fresh air and get to know other walkers.
Regular walking can help improve stamina, strength, balance and general wellbeing, and even a relatively gentle walk can be a valuable step towards becoming more active.
If you are already comfortable walking at a slightly stronger pace, our Striders Health Walk may be more suitable. The Striders leave at 10.15am.
Most importantly, this is a welcoming and sociable session. Come along, enjoy some fresh air, meet new people and take a positive step towards keeping active.

Walk Description:
It's Christmas time with the Hillbillies, and we're getting into the festive spirit with a special session of fun, fitness and games at Highdown Hill!
Our usual Wellness Walking workout will have a Christmas twist, with plenty of festive challenges, team games, laughter and a little friendly competition.
We'll still be working on our strength, balance, mobility, coordination and cardiovascular fitness, but this time we'll be doing it through a variety of fun activities designed to get everyone moving, smiling and enjoying themselves.
As always, there will be options to suit different abilities, so everyone can join in at their own level. It's all about having a go, enjoying the company and perhaps discovering a competitive streak you didn't know you had!
The Hillbillies are well known for their laughter and enthusiasm, and our Christmas special promises plenty of both. Festive clothing, Christmas hats and a bit of sparkle are very welcome!
And, of course, no Hillbillies session would be complete without a well-earned coffee and a good chat in the tearooms afterwards.
Come and join us for some festive fitness, fun and games. It's a wonderful way to celebrate Christmas with our WALX Coast and Country friends!
