For the Home Weights workout with Denise, all you need is something you can hold in your hands to use as an added resistance. It could be a set of weights or dumb-bells or, alternatively, you could use washing softener bottles or plastic milk bottles filled with water. You could use wet towels in a plastic bag or bags of potatoes (anything you can hold in each hand). The "WALX HQ Presents ..." sessions are delivered online from WALX & Nordic Walking UK head office, helping you stay active and mobile from home. All sessions are FREE for those on a monthly payment package with their local instructor.

This is a delightful and gentle scenic walk through Thorncombe Woods.
Suitable for all abilites with or without poles.
There is a wealth of wildlife – including resident Dartmoor ponies- and a varied range of mature trees and open scrubland from which, high up, there are magnificent views of the surrounding countryside with the Purbeck Hill’s in the distance. A walk not to be missed!
We will meet in car park, there is a charge of £1 per hour, to use the car park.
Throughout the walk we will be observing the social distancing as best as possible at all times.
Please note that there are no toilet facilities at this time.

This is a friendly and popular Nordic walking Group for those who have completed a Power of Poles induction course. We explore the forest trails in Delamere Forest and coverig 4-5km (2.5 - 3 miles) in the hour.
Car parking Fees apply in Forest Centre, Tree tops carpark, Old Pale, Whitefield carpark or become a member of Delamere Forest for an anual fee of £72.00

Duration – 1 ½ hours, walk grade - 3. Not everyone walks at the same pace! The Regular Walk is a social way to get fit and stay fit. It`s aimed at moderate paced walkers and above. After a warm up we will set off together and those that wish to walk fast can go ahead and at certain points we will gather together. This is achieved by those walking ahead will, at certain points or times, double back to the rear of the group or remaining at a pre-determined rendezvous point and practicing drills or other gentle exercises to keep warm and active.

It will be a non stop 60min walk, aiming to do 10/11 min/km.
Average walking pace is 12/14 min/km.
