Chi Ball is a mixture of Tai Chi, Yoga and Pilates. The Tai Chi and Dance section is in standing and the Yoga, Pilates and Relaxation is on a mat.

The sequences change with the seasons concentrating on different areas of the body.

 

The summer is associated with the Fire element which governs the Heart, small intestine, pericardium and the triple heater.  The triple heater is the meridian that is believed to play an important role in circulating vital energy through out the body.

A chi ball is used but a toilet roll or small pilates/yoga ball is ok to use. If you want to invest in a chi ball then I can send you the details of where to get one from.

This 2 PART COURSE, delivered in partnership with THREE RIVERS DISCTRICT COUNCIL and including a free pole clinic, will help you understand how to select the right kind of poles and use them for health, fitness, fun or challenges.  

This course is delivered over 2 x 1-hour sessions:

·         The first session will ensure you get the correct movement and technique using strapless poles

·         The second session will enable you to practice your technique and we will then help you select the right poles and walks for YOU!

Walk Description:

Peak Forest Canal and Marple Ridge

 

Setting off from The Railway at Rose Hill we'll head out through Marple, where we'll join the canal and head along it towards New Mills, we then leave the canal for the short climb to Marple Ridge where there are fine views of the surrounding areas. Dropping down through Hawk Green we cross the Macclesfield Canal and head for the Middlewood Way where we return to the start.

Distance 8.3km with an overall ascent of 88M.
