START TIME 11.40 . Susan`s Thursday Motivator Nordic Walk is an gentle/easy pace 1 hour Nordic walk. This session is ideal for those wanting to improve their fitness & who just want to have a Nordic Walk, fresh air and chat. Start times and locations vary to give variety on a week by week basis so please check carefully each week but will be in the Salford area. Run by NWUK Instructor, Susan Spain.
THIS WEEK - BUILE HILL PARK, SALFORD
Meeting point - Buile Hill Park, Salford car park. Turn off the A576 Eccles Old Road into the park itself (by the pedestrian crossing & junction with Chaseley Road)), immediately keep left at the fork and park in the car park. There are no toilet facilities available.

Each week we focus on specific balance activities to activate the core and improve our equilibrium such as 'clock' work, 'tight rope', 'flamingo stand' and 'superman'.

A gentle safe way to walk yourself fitter! These walks include exercises that help with flexibility, balance and strength whilst using poles to improve general fitness and increase joint mobility. Suitable for those who want to build up to the longer or more vigorous walks or may have concerns about their health.
Open to Non nordic walkers but you will be using poles that you can borrow if you do not have your own.
Sometimes this session will be in a field depending on weather conditions and other factors such as new clients joining the group for the furst time.

Disley Nordic Walks
Meeting at the War Memorial in Disley (in front of The Rams Head) we`ll have a warm-up before we head off exploring the magnificent countryside around the Parish of Disley. It varies from urban to rural very quickly with differing views to be had on each walk. There may be the opportunity to grab a coffee once the walk has finished.
The walks are advertised at 90mins but they may take a little longer than that, due to terrain, weather and social distancing measures.

Gears 1 and maybe 2 with some hills.
