This is a 4.5 mile brisk walk (average steady pace 3.5mph) suitable for all Gear 2-3 abilities as there are opportunities for those who want a challenge to get up to Gear 3 and add in extra distance if they choose! Stunning views over the City of Bath via various routes depending on the weather conditions. Once up there it is relatively flat and depending on route can be more or less challenging as some pathways are uneven, rooty and can be muddy. Others flat and grassy meadowland. A combination of woodland, forest bathing in Bathwick Woods and beyond, meadow and golf course - taking in the views of the city below. We will mainly be in a brisk Gear 1 moving into Gear 2 for this walk but there are options for Gear 3 for those who want more of a challenge. Route can be changed in terms of challenge depending on preference within the group.

This class is designed to help you move better and move freely.
It will help with shoulder health and hip health.
We also use a non stretchy fitness band/yga strap or belt in streches sometimes.
ONLINE CLASSES
For online classes you must ensure that you have a clear area to train (Approx 2m Square).
You must dress appropriately for the session.
You must ensure that your emergency contact details are up to date in your profile.
You will need a mat for floor exercises, a tea towel for strength exercises and a place where you can do press ups such as a kitchen work surface. If you have access to a fitness band that would be useful too.
If the class is billed as a Gymstick/Pro X Walker/Isobow owners class you MUST have these items.
INDOOR CLASSES
Bring a mat and clothing suitable for indoor fitness.
OUTDOOR CLASSES
You must be fit and healthy enoygh to take part in sessions outside on grass and other surfaces.

Join our Guided Nordic Walk around the ancient Forest. Walks are led by our team of experienced Forestry England Volunteers. Our walks are suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels, who have completed a NWUK Learn to Walk Course and are comfortable walking for the full 90 minutes.
All our walks will be conducted in line with government COVID guidelines, and we ask that you also comply with these.

WALX of Wellbeing are free walks led by qualified volunteer walk leaders, previously known as Walking for Health Walks these are a great way to get outdoors, enjoy the green spaces and make new friends.

It is fun and will challenge you appropriately.
You will be able to be sociable and talk but not "chat" freely as this is a fitness session not a wander.
The walk is suitable for all who have no limitations and who want to get fitter.
THE WALK LEADER WILL MANAGE THE DIFFERENT ABILITIES BY SENDING FASTER WALKERS OFF IN FRONT OR SENDING THEM BACK SO THAT EVERYONE GETS A WORKOUT DURING THIS SESSION.
There are several ways to increase fitness. You could increase distance with loads of stiops or you could have a shorter distance with less stops.

Our one to one sessions are suitable for people who prefer a dynamic session looking at specific technique or training for a challenge. The technique sessions are suitable for people who need to smarten up and tighten up on their Nordic walking technique.
If you have completed a beginner course and have let things slide a bit, this session could be just what you are looking for. You don`t need to be a regular Norfolk Nordic Walking member and you are not obligated to participate in all our sessions.
