Our Wellbeing classes are gentler Nordic walking sessions, suitable for those gradually building their fitness levels, or with injuries or medical conditions that require a more gradual approach to improved health and fitness.
For those who will benefit, this class can include gentle balance, strength and breathing exercises, and individual rest periods are incorporated when required.
This session is about an hour.

These sessions deliver exercises to improve mobility, strength, balance and coordination. Your overall fitness including your cardio output will improve, It is a whole body workout helping you feel more energised, Using smoveys will support your upper body and core strength and increase your heartrate.
As we work in a group everyone can work within their limits. There will be plenty of opportunity to rest and all the exercises are differentiated to suit you. We use out poles to improve our core strength, balance and upper body range of movement.

NOTE THIS IS NOT A WALK , THIS IS 'NORDIC STRENGTH',
a strength & conditioning session, designed to improve our overall body strength, core strength, mobility, flexibility and balance. The session comprises:- A short dynamic warm up to get us ready for the exercises to follow; A main section targetting key muscle groups to support and enhance our longer term Walking capabilities; and A controlled cool down, to enhance recovery. The session focuses on quality posture and range of motion. We will not be lifting any weights just working within our own capabilities and against gravity : )
Suitable for all ages and abilities. Wear comfortable clothing. Bring a drink and an exercise mat.
NOTE: There will need to be a minimum of 4 people attending for the session to take place.
