Nordic Walks are walks with an instructor who will support you with technique 

These walks are ideal if you would like a steady brisk walk with your poles. This is ideal for those who enjoy  walking  but need something more energising       

This activity is suitable for those who can walk at in a Gear 2 .There will be plenty  of opportunity to push  yourself to a higher cardio level. 

Gear 1 - Nice pace that you can do for extended periods. Gear 2 - Faster pace gained through technique.  Expect Gear 2 at times throughout the walk. Gear 2 Faster again using technique and with less recovery. I also list the length of the walk so you can make a judgement as to whether the walk is for you. Feel free to contact me if you are unsure about anything.

This is a great walk to increase your fitness. The walk is roughly 1 hour long. Our walk will take us through the beautiful streets and country paths around East Grinstead.

This walk changes weekly as there are so many wonderful areas to explore. The terrain includes hills and fast flats and can be muddy underfoot on wet evenings.    

This walk is the perfect way to work on your fitness in a fabulous setting. Come and enjoy walking, take in the views, fresh air and company of the group, whilst being active outdoors.

If you have a head torch feel free to bring it with you on the darker evenings.

Walk Description:

Join us for a brand new route around the west of Canford Heath.

Starting in the car park at the Neighbourhood Centre, we walk upto the red brick path which leads  us up onto the Heath.  We then take a circular route through what is arguably the most attractive part of Canford Heath, with stunning 360º views you'll feel miles away from anywhere.

We follow tracks and trails before reaching the ridge which opens the views up all the way across to Poole and the Purbecks before descending back down to the start.

The walk is 3 miles long and will take a little over an hour to complete, the ascent is gentle, with just one short climb.  There are some slightly uneven steps to walk down, but overall this is a nice easy walk on good surfaces that should be suitable for all.

There is plenty of car parking, which is free, toilets are available in ASDA.

Please bring PAWS as some of the walk is on tarmac and brick pathways.

Please be aware on this walk as it goes through some woodland the terrain in places can be quite narrow and the path in places  has exposed roots making it tricky in places
