Chilgrove White Horse and the Devil’s Jumps
Starting from the White Horse at Chilgrove, this 5.3-mile walk takes us up towards the South Downs Way, with a small diversion to visit the Devil’s Jumps.
There is a long, steady climb along the route. It isn’t particularly steep, but it will get the heart and lungs working and makes this a rewarding walk for anyone who enjoys a little more of a challenge. We’ll manage different walking speeds so the group stays together, with opportunities for stronger walkers to stretch themselves while others tackle the climb at a comfortable pace.
Along the way, we’ll enjoy beautiful countryside and lovely views through the valley, making the climb well worth the effort.
Distance: Approximately 5.3 milesDuration: Approximately 2 hours
Afterwards, we’ll head to the White Horse for a well-earned coffee and time to relax and catch up.
A great choice if you’re ready for a longer walk with a sustained climb, fabulous scenery and a sociable finish.
