Join this friendly mixed ability group. Many members prefer to walk with poles as they find it is more effective than ordinary walking .(When poles are used we are able to engage the upper body, core muscles, improve posture, help balance and burn more calories)
These walks will be ideal for anyone recovering from Covid or other health conditions and those walkers who want a gentle return to fitness levels.

Get your fitness back Join us for an explorer walk where easy paths along country lanes or through fields are combined with steep up/down hill paths, this walk provides you with an opportunity to increase your speed, while maintaining the proper technique.

A moderately paced Nordic Walk for you to enjoy in a social atmosphere, the WALX Guide will lead you through a warm up, follow the aerobic curve during the walk to enable you to improve your fitness levels, finish with a cool down and a stretch.
To book this walk you must complete the Power of Poles training, Wellness WALX are available throughout the week, these do not require the training if you want to come along and have a try.

Join us for a 4-mile walk at one of our favourite locations, Formby beach and pine woods.
To celebrate the 250th anniversary of the first lifeboat at Formby.
We will walk through the sand dunes, along the beach and hopefully see some of the bricks signifying where the lifeboat station was and then on the return have a look at ‘Devils Hole’
