Free WALX of Wellbeing – Crayford Library Walk 

Short description

WALX of Wellbeing are free walks led by qualified volunteer walk leaders, previously known as Walking for Health Walks these are a great way to get outdoors, enjoy the green spaces and make new friends. 

Please book your session prior to walking, don’t hesitate to get in touch or pop into the library if you need any help.

Description of the walk: Meeting outside the main doors at Crayford Library, the walk will be one of 3 routes depending on the weather. Walks will include Hall Place, Dartford Heath or the River Cray. The walk may be muddy if the weather has been wet. Approximately 1.5 - 3 miles

No poles are required on the walk but you are welcome to use them if you prefer.

Walk Description:

We meet in the car park of The Spur on the London Road.

We make our way into Madehurst Woods which has a multitude of bridleways and footpaths.

This walk has a few hills (not too taxing) as well as flat areas. We are treated to some fantastic views which include fields, woods, and you can even see the sea from some areas.

The paths are mainly bridleways, or well-developed public footpaths. The terrain is easy underfoot but as with all walks shoes/boots must have good grips.  

This walk will be approximately 90 minutes.

FREE Parking is at The Spur - Please park on the far side and stay for coffee as a thank you!
