The terrific Tuesday series of Explorer WALX starts from picturesque Thorpe. Literally, at the gateway to Dovedale, this appealing little village is set in some of the most beautiful countryside.
Close to the junction of the beautiful rivers Dove and Manifold, it was originally a group of farms and isolated cottages around the tiny church of St Leonard.
