Walk Description:
A gentle walk in the beautiful surroundings of the New Forest and our lovely coastline. We will walk about 2.5 miles.
We have a choice of two lovely walks at this location - through the disused airfield with all its history and beautiful views stretching across to the Isle of Wight, or across the road into the inclosure where it`s more sheltered and includes some gentle hills. Both walks are dry underfoot and you may want your paws.

Walk Description:
This Saturday’s hike takes us to beautiful Houghton for an Explorer Walk. This means both pole walkers and non-pole walkers are very welcome, so it’s a great opportunity to bring along a friend or simply enjoy walking without poles.
Houghton is beautiful throughout the year, and the woodland is particularly impressive during the winter months when the trees give the landscape a completely different character.
We’ll explore the labyrinth of paths that wind through the woods, giving us plenty of different route options and a real sense of exploring the countryside.
Different walking speeds can be accommodated while keeping the group together, with opportunities for faster walkers to stretch their legs along the way.
The paths can be muddy at this time of year, so please wear sturdy walking shoes or boots with good grip.
A great Saturday hike with beautiful woodland, fresh air, plenty of variety and good company.
This walk is up to 2 hours.
