Each week we focus on specific balance activities to activate the core and improve our equilibrium such as `clock` work, `tight rope`, `flamingo stand` and `superman`.
We strengthen muscle groups with different `flex` activities - you may want to use light hand weights for this. A chair is an essential tool...

From one hour WALX in your local country park to a half day in the hills, our Explorer WALX capture the variety of scenery, themes and types of WALX that suit your lifestyle. If you love WALX to the pub or WALX with the dog or simply WALX in wild locations we have them all! Whether long, short, tough or gentle we welcome all ages and all levels.
On Fridays we like to explore walks around the Pewsey Vale and North Wessex Downs and finish at a cafe for a cuppa.
Today we have a special walk a bit further afield at Lacock Abbey. The walk is 6 miles and should take 2 hours. You can then optionally stay for lunch and an explore of this pretty town in West Wiltshire including the abbey and its grounds.

A gentle safe way to walk yourself fitter! These walks include exercises that help with flexibility, balance and strength whilst using poles to improve general fitness and increase joint mobility. Suitable for those who want to build up to the longer or more vigorous walks or may have concerns about their health.
Open to Non nordic walkers but you will be using poles that you can borrow if you do not have your own.

Beautiful rural, circular walk taking in stunning views, across to Wales on a clear day, lovely clear air, out along the golf course through hobbit country. Terrain is partial Woods so slightly uneven ground,. Fairly flat walk Unfortunately no guaranteed loos - We used to be able to use Pipley Cafe but not always open now post pandemic so best to try go before you come or else it may be behind a bush!! Other than that it would be the Hare and Hounds where we go for coffee afterwards. walk so it may be bushes, though we stop for coffee afterwards at the Hare and Hounds for refreshment afterwards and of course an opportunity to use the facilities. Pacey Gear 1 and options for Gear 2 and 3 for those who wish to challenge themselves a bit more.Parking can be tricky, during COVID parking more restricted.
