A comfortably paced walk for you to enjoy in a social atmosphere, the WALX Guide will lead you through a warm up, during the walk follow the aerobic curve to enable you to improve your fitness levels and general wellbeing, finishing with a cool down and a stretch at the end of the walk.
Please ensure that you have completed the Nordic Walking Learn to Walk/Power of Poles Intro course prior to booking this session.

A comfortably paced Total Body WALX for you to enjoy in a social atmosphere, during the walk providing if the weather is fine, we will stop for a 20 minute session of Chi Ball - a mixture of Tai Chi and Yoga from the seasons sequence. A small ball is used but imagination is fine for the session.
Details can be given if you would like to purchase a ball, for more details on the full chi ball virtual class please see the booking system.

Pace one
A 2k to 3k gentle WALX that incorporates balance work, flexibility and strength exercises and maybe a bit of yoga or relaxation too. On Monday these walks take place around Stanmore and Harrow Weald on mainly flat terrain but we do go on trails through the woods so that we can enjoy the changes in nature throughout the year. This is a very friendly group and we are always ready to welcome new walkers who want to get back into exercise in a safe and gradual way.
Starting in April 2025 there is also the option to sign up for the 6 week Total Body Walking Programme in the beautiful Canons Park in Stanmore which is being supported by TfL and Friends of Canons Park. This programme runs on Tuesdays and Sundays at 11am.
